1. (YHUH)יהוה께서 내게 말씀하셨다.
"모쉐와 쉬무엘이 내 앞에 선다 해도 나는 이 백성에게 마음을 기울이지 않을테니
내 앞에서 내보내어 그들로 나가게 하여라.
2. 그들이 네게 '우리가 어디로 나갈 것이냐?'라고 말하거든 너는 그들에게 말하여라.
'(YHUH)יהוה께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다.
죽기로 되어 있는 자는 죽으리니
칼에 맞아 죽을 자는 칼로 기근으로 죽을 자는 기근으로 죽고
포로가 될 자는 포로로 잡혀갈 것이다.'
3. 내가 그들에게 네 종류의 벌을 주리니
-(YHUH)יהוה의 말씀-
죽이는 칼과 물어뜯는 개들과 먹이 없애는 하늘의 새와 땅의 짐승들이다.
4. 내가 그 땅의 모든 왕국에 공포의 본보기로 그들을 줄 테니
예후다 왕 히즈키야(본문-예히즈키야후)의 아들 므낫쉐가
예루샬라임에서 행한 일 때문이다.
5. 참으로 누가 너를 동정할 것이냐, 예루샬라임아?
누가 너를 위하여 애도할 것이냐?
누가 네게 평안을 물으러 발길을 돌리겠느냐?
6. 네가 나를 저버리고
-(YHUH)יהוה의 말씀-
등을 돌리고 갔다.
그래서 나는 내 손을 네게 뻗어 너를 멸했으니
이는 내가 후회하기에도 지쳤기 때문이다.
7. 내가 그들을 그 땅의 모든 성문에서 키로 까불러 그들의 가족들을 앗아가고 내 백성을 멸했으니
이는 그들의 길들로부터 그들이 돌이키지 않았기 때문이다.
8. 나는 과부들이 바다의 모래보다 더 많게 하리니
젊은이의 엄마에게 대낮에 파괴자를 데려와서
그녀를 놀램과 미움과 공포로 갑자기 쓰러지게 할 것이다.
9. 일곱을 낳은 여자가 쇠약해져 기절할 것이다.
아직 낮인데도 그녀의 해가 져서 그녀가 부끄러워하고 창피스러워할 것이다.
그들의 남은 자를 그들의 원수들 앞에서 칼에 내가 줄 것이다.

10. 아, 내게 화입니다! 나의 어머니여.
온 땅을 위하여 싸우는 사람으로, 분쟁하는 사람으로, 당신께서 나를 낳았기 때문입니다.
내가 빌려주지 않았고 그들이 내게 빌려주지 않았는데 모두가 나를 저주합니다.
11. (YHUH)יהוה께서 말씀하셨다.
"정녕 내가 네게 선을 베풀지 않겠느냐?
정녕 내가 악과 환난 때에 원수로 너를 치게 하지 않겠느냐?
12. 철이 북쪽의 철을 쳐부수겠으며 놋이 그렇게 하겠느냐?
13. 네 모든 경계 안에 있는 네 모든 죄 때문에 네 재물과 네 보물들을
값없이 탈취물로 내가 나눠줄 것이다.
14. 네가 알지 못하는 땅에 있는 네 원수들을 내가 지나가게 하리니
이는 불이 내 화에 붙어 너희를 향하여 타고 있기 때문이다."
15. 당신은 아십니다, (YHUH)יהוה시여.
저를 기억하시고 저를 살피셔서 저를 쫓는 자들에게 저를 위하여
보복하시고 당신의 화를 오래 참으셔서 저를 취하지 마십시오.
제가 당신 때문에 모욕을 받습니다.
16. 당신의 말씀들이 눈에 발견되어 제가 그것들을 먹었더니
당신의 말씀들이 제 즐거움이 되고 제 마음의 기쁨이 되었습니다.
참으로 당신의 이름으로 제가 불립니다.
만군의 (YHUH)יהוה 하나님이시여.
17. 저는 노는 자들의 모임에 앉지 않았고 기뻐 뛰지도 않았습니다.
당신께서 저를 격노로 채우셨기 때문에 당신의 손 때문에 외로이 앉아 있었습니다.
18. 왜 제 고통이 영원히 있습니까?
왜 제 부상이 중한데 치료하기를 거절하십니까?
당신은 정녕 제게 신실하지 않는 물인 와디처럼 되셨습니다.
19. 그러므로 (YHUH)יהוה께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다.
"만일 네가 돌아서면 내가 너를 돌아오게 하여 내 앞에 네가 설 것이며
만일 네가 천한 말보다 귀한 말을 네 입에서 나가게 하면 내 입에 따라 네가 있으리니
그들이 네게로 돌아오지 네가 그들에게 돌아가지 않을 것이다.
20. 내가 너를 이 백성에게 견고한 놋 성벽으로 주리니
그들이 너와 싸워도 너를 이길 수 없을 것이다.
이는 내가 너와 함께 있어
너를 구원하며 너를 구할 것이기 때문이다.

21. 내가 너를 악한 자들의 손에서 구하고 포확한 자들의 손바닥에서 구속할 것이다."
이르메야(예레미야) 15장
Yirmeyah 15
Then Yahweh said to me: though Moses and Samuel stood before Me,
yet My mind would not be toward this people. Cast them out of My sight, and let them go out.
It will happen, when they tell you: Where shall we go out ?
Then you shall tell them, Yahweh says:
Such as are for death, to death,
such as are for the sword, to the sword,
such as are for the famine, to the famine,
and such as are for captivity, to captivity.
I will appoint over them four kinds, says Yahweh:
the sword to kill,
the dogs to tear,
the birds of the sky,
and the animals of the earth:
to devour and to destroy.
I will cause them to be tossed back and forth,
Among all the kingdoms of the earth,
because of Manasseh, the son of Hezekiah, king of Judah,
for that which he did in Jerusalem.
For who will have pity on you, Jerusalem ?
Who will mourn you ?
Who will come to ask of your welfare ?
You have rejected Me, says Yahweh.
You have gone backward.
Therefore I have stretched out My hand against you,
and destroyed you. I am weary of showing compassion.
I have winnowed them with a fan in the gates of the land.
I have bereaved them of children. I have destroyed My people.
They didn’t return from their ways.
Their widows are increased more than the sand of the seas,
I have brought on them:
against the mother of the young men — a destroyer at noonday.
I have caused anguish — and terrors to fall on her suddenly.
She who has borne seven (7) languishes.
She has given up the spirit.
Her sun has gone down while it was yet day.
She has been disappointed and confounded.
I will deliver their residue to the sword before their enemies, says Yahweh.
Woe is me, my mother,
that you have borne me, a man of strife,
and a man of contention to the whole earth.
I have not lent, neither have men lent to me,
yet every one of them curses me.
Yahweh said:
Most certainly I will strengthen you for good.
Most certainly I will cause the enemy:
To make supplication to you in the time of evil
and in the time of affliction.
Can one break iron,
even iron from the north, and brass ?
I will give your substance,
and your treasures for a plunder without price,
and that for all your sins, even in all your borders.
I will make them to pass with your enemies:
into a land which you don’t know,
for a fire is kindled in My anger, which will burn on you.
Yahweh, You know.
Remember me, visit me,
and avenge me of my persecutors.
You are patient, so don’t take me away.
Know that for Your sake I have suffered reproach.
Your words were found, and I ate them.
Your words were to me a joy and the rejoicing of my heart,
for I am called by Your name, Yahweh, God of Armies.
I didn’t sit in the assembly of those:
who make merry and rejoice.
I sat Alone because of Your hand,
for You have filled me with indignation.
Why is my pain perpetual,
and my wound incurable,
which refuses to be healed ?
Will You indeed be to me as A deceitful brook,
like waters that fail ?
Therefore Yahweh says:
If you return, then I will bring you again,
that you may stand before Me,
And if you take out the precious from the vile,
you will be as My mouth.
They will return to you, — But you will not return to them.
I will make you to this people a fortified bronze wall.
They will fight against you, but they will not prevail against you,
for I am with you to save you and to deliver you, says Yahweh.
I will deliver you out of the hand of the wicked,
and I will redeem you out of the hand of the terrible.
