하나님의 이름을 영원부터 영원까지 송축합니다.

18.다니옐과 그의 친구들이 바벨의 나머지 지혜자들과 함께 죽지 않도록 이 비밀에 관하여 

하늘의 하나님 앞으로부터 자비를 구하였다.

19.그때 그날 밤 계시로 다니옐에게 그 비밀이 드러났다.

그때 다니옐이 하늘의 하나님을 송축하였다.

20.다니옐이 화답하여 말하였다.

"지혜와 권능이 당신의 것입니다. 하나님의 이름을 영원부터 영원까지 송축합니다.

21.그는 때와 계절들을 바꾸시며 왕들을 폐하시고 왕들을 세우시며 지혜자들에게 지혜를 주시고

총명한 자들에게 지식을 주십니다.

22.그는 깊은 것들과 숨겨진 것들을 드러내시고 어둠 속에 있는 것을 아시니

빛이 그와 함께 삽니다.

23.나의 조상들의 하나님,

제가 당신께 감사와 찬양을 드립니다.

지금 지혜와 권능을 제게 주셔서 우리가 당신께 구한 것을 제게 알게 하셨으니

왕의 일을 제게 알게 하셨습니다."

 

다니옐(다니엘)2장 18~23절

 

Daniel 2:18-23:

18. That they might ask (pray for) mercy before the God of heaven concerning the mystery, so that Daniel and his companions might not perish with the rest of the «wise men» of Babylon.

19. Then was the mystery, revealed to Daniel in a night vision.

And Daniel blessed the God of heaven.

20. Daniel answered and said:

Blessed be the name of God in age, age (olam): for wisdom and might belong to Him.

21. And He changes seasons and times.

He removes kings and sets up kings.

He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to them who know understanding.

22. He reveals the deep and secret things.

He knows what is in the darkness,

and the light is with Him.

23. To Thee, O God of my fathers,

I give thanks, and I praise Thee,

Who hast given me wisdom and might,

and hast now made known to me what we desired of Thee.

For Thou hast made known to us the king’s matter.
