모두가 모여 네게로 오니네 아들들은 멀리서 오며 네 딸들은 등에서 업혀서 올 것이다.

1. "일어나 비추어라. 네 빛이 네게 들어왔고 (YHUH)יהוה의 영광이 네게 떠올랐다.

 

2. 보라, 어둠이 땅을 덮으며 흑암이 민족들을 덮을 것이다.

 

그러나 네게는 나 (YHUH)יהוה가 떠올라서 그 영광이 네게 보이리니 

 

3. 나라들이 네 빛을 향하여 걸어가고 왕들이 네 떠오르는 광채를 향하여 걸어갈 것이다.

 

4. 네 눈을 들어 사방을 보아라. 모두가 모여 네게로 오니 네 아들들은 멀리서 오며 네 딸들은 등에서 업혀서 올 것이다.

 

5. 그때 네가 보고 네 얼굴에서 광채가 날 것이며 네 마음이 두근거리며 커질 것이다.

 

이는 바다의 풍부함이 네 것으로 바뀌며 나라들의 재물이 네게로 올 것이기 때문이다.

 

6. 많은 낙타가 너를 덮을 것이며 미드얀과 에파의 어린 낙타들이 너를 덮으리니 그것들 모두가 쉬바로부터 올 것이다.

 

금과 유향을 그것들이 메고 와서 (YHUH)יהוה의 찬양을 기쁘게 전할 것이다.

 

7. 케다르의 모든 양이 네게로 모여들며 느바욭의 숫양들이 네 필요를 위해 섬기리니

 

그것들이 내 제단에 기쁘게 받아들여지도록 바치게 해서 내 영화로운 집을 내가 영화롭게 할 것이다.

 

8. 구름처럼 날아오는 이들이 누구냐? 그들의 창문들을 향하는 비둘기들처럼 날아오는 이들이 누구냐?

 

9. 해안지역들이 나를 기다리며 타르쉬쉬의 배들이 먼저 네 아들들을 멀리서 데려오고 

 

그들의 은과 그들의 금도 그들과 함께 가져오리니

 

이는 네 하나님 (YHUH)יהוה의 이름을 위하여 너를 영화롭게 하는 이스라엘의 거룩한 자를 위함이다.

 

10. 그리고 이방인들이 네 성벽들을 지으며 그들의 왕들이 너를 섬길 것이다.

 

참으로 내 진노로 내가 너를 쳤으나 이제는 내 은총으로 내가 네게 자비를 베풀 것이다.

 

11. 네 성물들이 항상 열려 있고 밤낮으로 닫히지 않아

 

네게로 이방나라들의 재물이 들어오고 그들의 왕들이 줄을 지어 올 것이다.

 

12. 이는 너를 섬기지 않는 이방나라와 왕국들은 망하고 그 이방나라들은 정녕 황무하게 될 것이기 때문이다.

 

13. 레바논의 영광이 네게 오리니

 

곱향나무와 느릅나무와 회양목이 함께 와서 내 성소를 영화롭게 하고 내 발을 두는 곳을 존귀하게 할 것이다.

 

14. 너를 괴롭히던 자들의 자손이 네게 굽실거리며 나아오고 너를 멸시하던 모든 자가 네 발바닥에 엎드리며 

 

너를 '(YHUH)יהוה의 성(城)'이라고 부르고 '이스라엘의 거룩하신 분의 찌욘'이라고 부를 것이다.

 

15. 네가 버림받고 미움받았기 때문에 지나다니는 자가 없었으나

 

이제는 내가 너를 영원한 자랑으로 두고 대대로 기쁨으로 두어서

 

16. 네가 이방나라들의 젖을 빨고 왕들의 풍성한 가슴을 빨 것이다.

 

그리하여 너는 나 (YHUH)יהוה가 네 구원자며 야아콥의 전능자인 네 속량자라는 것을 알 것이다.

 

17. 놋 대신에 내가 금을 가져오고 철 대신에 내가 은을 가져오며 나무들 대신에 놋을 가져오고 돌들 대신에 철을 가져오며 

 

내가 네 감독자로 '평화'를 두며 네 압제자로 '의'를 둘 것이다.

 

18. 다시는 네 땅에서 폭력이 들리지 않을 것이며, 네 경계 안에서 파괴와 파멸이 들리지 않을 것이다.

 

너는 네 성벽들을 구원이라고 부르고, 네 성문들을 찬양이라고 부를 것이다.

 

19. 다시는 해가 네게 낮의 빛이 되지 않고 달이 너를 비추는 광채가 되지 않으며 

 

나 (YHUH)יהוה가 네 영원한 빛이 되고 네 하나님이 네 영광이 될 것이다.

 

20. 다시는 네 해가 지지 않으며 네 달이 저물지 않을 것이다.

 

이는 나 (YHUH)יהוה가 네 영원한 빛이 되어서 네 애곡의 날들이 끝날 것이기 때문이다.

 

21. 네 백성은 모두 의롭게 되어 영원한 땅을 차지하리니 그들은 내가 심은 가지이고 내 영광을 보여 줄 내 손의 작품이다.

 

22. 가장 작은 자도 천 명을 이룰 것이며 가장 어린 자도 강한 나라를 이룰 것이니

 

나 (YHUH)יהוה가 그때 그 일을 급히 할 것이다."

Yeshayah 60

 

1. Kumi, Ori (Arise, shine):

for your light has come..!

And the kavod (Shekinah: glory) of YAHWEH (יהוה), is risen upon you.

2. For look, darkness covers the earth, and thick darkness the peoples. But יהוה arises over you, and His glory is seen upon you.

3. And the gentiles shall come to your light,

and sovereigns to the brightness of your rising.

4. Lift up your eyes all around and see: all of them have gathered, they have come to you,

your sons come from afar, and your daughters are supported on the side.

5. Then you shall see — and be bright, and your heart shall throb and swell, for the wealth of the sea is turned to you, the riches of the gentiles come to you.

6. A stream of camels cover your land, the dromedaries of Miḏyan and Ěphah; all those from Sheḇa come, bearing gold and incense, and proclaiming the praises of יהוה.

7. All the flocks of Qĕḏar are gathered to you, the rams of Neḇayoth serve you; they come up for acceptance on My altar, and I embellish My esteemed House.

8. Who are these who fly like a cloud, and like doves to their windows ?

9. Because the coastlands wait for Me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring your sons from afar, their silver and their gold with them, to the Name of יהוה your Elohim, and to the Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕl, because He has adorned you.

10. And the sons of foreigners shall build your walls, and their sovereigns serve you. For in My wrath I have smitten you, but in My delight I shall have compassion on you.

11. And your gates shall be open continually, they are not shut day or night, to bring to you the wealth of the gentiles, and their sovereigns in procession.

12. For the nation and the reign that do not serve you shall perish, and those gentiles shall be utterly laid waste.

13. The esteem of Leḇanon shall come to you, cypress, pine, and the box tree together, to embellish the place of My set-apart place. And I shall make the place of My feet esteemed.

14. And the sons of those who afflicted you come bowing to you, and all those who despised you shall bow themselves at the soles of your feet. And they shall call you: City of יהוה, Tziyon of the Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕl.

15. Instead of you being forsaken and hated, so that no one passes through you, I shall make you an everlasting excellence, a joy of many generations.

16. And you shall drink dry the milk of the gentiles, and shall milk the breast of sovereigns. And you shall know that I, יהוה, your Saviour and your Redeemer, am the Elohim of Ya‛aqoḇ.

17. Instead of bronze I bring gold, and instead of iron I bring silver, and bronze instead of wood, and iron instead of stones. And I shall make your officers peace, and your magistrates righteousness.

18. Violence shall no longer be heard in your land, neither wasting nor ruin within your borders. And you shall call your walls Deliverance, and your gates Praise.

19. No longer is the sun your light by day, nor does the moon give light to you for brightness, but יהוה shall be to you an everlasting light, and your Elohim your comeliness.

20. No longer does your sun go down, nor your moon withdraw itself, for יהוה shall be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning shall be ended.

21. And your people, all of them righteous, shall inherit the earth in olam.

A branch of My planting,

a work of My hands, to be adorned.

22. The little shall become a thousand, and the small one a strong nation. I, יהוה, shall hasten it in its time.
