1. 모든 사람은 위에 있는 권세들에 복종하십시오.
참으로 하나님께로부터 나오지 않는 권세는 없으니 모든 것이 하나님에 의해 정해진 것입니다.
2. 그러므로 권세에 적대하는 사람은 하나님의 지시를 거역하는 것이니
거역하는 자들은 스스로 심판을 받을 것입니다.
3. 참으로 통치자들이 선한 일을 하는 사람들에게 두려울 것이 없고, 악한 일을 하는 사람에게만 두려움이 됩니다.
만일 여러분이 권세를 두려워하지 않으려면 선한 일을 행하십시오. 그러면 그에게서 칭찬을 받을 것입니다.
4. 참으로 그는 여러분을 선으로 이끄는 하나님의 사역자입니다.
그러나 만일 여러분이 악을 행하면 두려워하십시오. 이는 그가 공연히 칼을 차고 다니지 않기 때문입니다.
참으로 그는 하나님의 사역자로서 악을 행하는 자에게 진노로 복수하는 자입니다.
5. 그러므로 진노 때문만 아니라 양심 때문에도 반드시 복종해야 합니다.
6. 이 때문에 여러분은 세금을 내는 것이니 참으로 그들은 하나님의 종들로서 이 일을 계속하는 것입니다.
7. 여러분은 모두에게 의무를 다하십시오.
조세를 바칠 자에게 조세를 바치고, 관세를 바칠 자에게 관세를 바치고, 두려워해야 할 자를 두려워하고,
존경해야 할 자를 존경하십시오.
8. 서로 사랑하는 것 외에는 아무에게도 빚을 지지 마십시오. 참으로 남을 사랑하는 자는 토라를 다 이루었습니다.
9. 이는 '너는 간음하지 말아야 한다. 너는 살인하지 말아야 한다. 너는 도둑질하지 말아야 한다.
너는 탐내지 말아야 한다.'라는 것과 또 다른 계명들이 있지만 '네 이웃을 너 자신처럼 사랑하여라.'라는
이 한 말씀으로 요약될 수 있기 때문입니다.
10. 사랑은 이웃에게 악한 일을 하지 않습니다. 그러므로 사랑은 토라의 완성입니다.
11. 이 외에도 여러분이 때를 아니 이제 잠에서 일으켜질 때가 되었습니다.
참으로 우리가 처음 믿었을 때보다 구원이 더 가까워졌습니다.
12. 밤이 많이 지났고 낮이 가까이 왔습니다. 그러므로 우리는 어둠의 일을 벗어 버리고 빛의 갑옷을 입읍시다.
13. 낮에 행하는 것처럼 단정히 걸어갑시다. 유흥과 술 취함과 음행과 방탕과 분쟁과 시기에 빠지지 말고
14. 오직 주 ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ 예슈아 하마쉬아흐 ישוע המשיח로 옷 입으십시오.
욕심을 채우려고 육신의 일을 도모하지 마십시오.
로마 성도들에게(로마서) 13장
Romans 13
13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of YHWH: the powers that be are ordained of YHWH.
13:2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of YHWH: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
13:3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil.
Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power?
do that which is good,
and thou shalt have praise of the same.
13:4 For he is the minister of YHWH to thee -- for [tov] good.
But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid:
for he beareth not the sword in vain:
for he is the minister of YHWH,
a revenger to execute wrath:
upon him that doeth evil.
13:5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject,
not only for wrath,
BUT also for conscience sake.
13:6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also:
for they are YHWH's ministers,
attending continually upon this very thing.
13:7 Render therefore to all their dues:
tribute to whom -- tribute is due,
custom to whom -- custom,
fear to whom -- fear,
honour to whom -- honour.
13:8 Owe no man any thing,
BUT TO LOVE one another:
for he that loveth another ---> hath fulfilled the law.
13:9 For this:
-- Thou shalt not commit adultery,
-- Thou shalt not murder,
-- Thou shalt not steal,
-- Thou shalt not bear false witness,
-- Thou shalt not covet,
and if there be any other commandment,
it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely:
Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour:
therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
13:11 And that, knowing the time,
that now it is high time to awake out of sleep:
for now is our [yeshua] salvation,
nearer than when we believed.
13:12 The night is far spent,
the day is at hand:
let us therefore cast off the works of darkness,
and let us put on the armour of light.
13:13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day,
NOT IN rioting and drunkenness,
NOT IN chambering and wantonness,
NOT IN strife and envying.
13:14 But put ye on the Master YESHUA the Messiah,
and make not provision for the flesh,
to fulfil the lusts thereof.
