1. 일곱째 달 이십 일 일에 (YHUH)יהוה의 말씀이 학가이 예언자를 통하여 있었다.
2. "이제, 쉬알티엘의 아들인 예후다 총독 즈룹바벨과 예호짜닼의 아들인 예호슈아 대제사장과
그 백성의 남은 자들에게 말하여라.
3. 너희 가운데 남은 자, 곧 이 (YHUH)יהוה 집의 이전 영광을 본 자가 누구냐? 너희는 지금 그것을 어떻게 보고 있느냐?
이와 같은 것이 너희 눈에 아무렇지도 않느냐?
4. 그러나 이제 즈룹바벨아, 강하여라.-(YHUH)יהוה의 말씀- 예호짜닼의 아들인 예호슈아 대제사장아, 강하여라.
이 땅의 모든 백성아, 강하게 -(YHUH)יהוה의 말씀-행하여라.
이는 내가 너희와 함께 있기 때문이다.-만군의 (YHUH)יהוה의 말씀-
5. 미쯔라임에서 너희가 나올 때 내가 너희와 함께 맺었던 그 말을 행하여라.
내 영이 너희 가운데 머무니 너희는 두려워하지 마라.
6. -참으로 만군의 (YHUH)יהוה께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다.
-조금만 있으면 한 번 더 내가 하늘과 땅과 바다와 육지를 진동시킬 것이다.
7. 내가 모든 나라를 진동시키고 모든 나라의 귀중품을 들어오게 하여 내가 이 집을 영광으로 채울 것이다.
-만군의 (YHUH)יהוה께서 말씀하셨다.-
8. 은도 내 것이고 금도 내 것이다. -만군의 (YHUH)יהוה의 말씀-
9. 이 집의 영광은 처음보다 나중이 더 클것이다. -만군의 (YHUH)יהוה께서 말씀하셨다.-
이곳에 내가 평화를 줄 것이다.-만군의 (YHUH)יהוה의 말씀-"
10. 다르야붸쉬 제이 년 아홉째 달 이십사 일에 (YHUH)יהוה의 말씀이 학가이 예언자에게 있었다.
11. "-만군의 (YHUH)יהוה께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다.- 자, 제사장들에게 토라를 물어보아라.
12. '만일 어떤 사람이 거룩한 고기를 그의 옷자락에 쌌는데
그 옷자락이 빵이나 죽이나 포도주나 기름이나 어떤 음식에 닿았으면 그것이 거룩해지겠느냐?
그 제사장들이 대답하여 말하였다. '아닙니다.'
13. 학가이가 말하였다. '만일 시체를 만져서 부정하게 된 자가 이 모든 것을 만지면 그것이 부정하겠느냐?'
그 제사장들이 대답하여 말하였다. '그것이 부정할 것입니다.'
14. 학가이가 대답하여 말하였다. '이 백성이 이와 같고 이 나라가 내 앞에서 이와 같다. -(YHUH)יהוה의 말씀-
그들 손의 모든 일이 이와 같아 그들이 거기서 바치는 것이 부정하다.
15. 자, 이날, 곧 (YHUH)יהוה의 전에 돌을 돌 위에 놓기 전부터 계속 너희 마음을 두어라.
16. 곡식더미 이십 개를 가지러 오면 열 개만 있을 것이고
포도 짜는 틀에 오십 푸라(곡식 담는 통)를 길으러 오면 이십 푸라만 있을 것이다.
17. 내가 마름병과 곰팡이와 우박으로 너희 손으로 만든 모든 것을 쳤으나 너희가 내게로 돌아오지 않았다.
-(YHUH)יהוה의 말씀-
18. 자, 너희 마음을 이날부터 계속 두어라.
아홉째 달 이십사 일, 곧 (YHUH)יהוה의 전의 기초가 세워진 그날부터 너희 마음을 두어라.
19. 그 씨가 아직 창고에 있느냐? 포도나무와 무화과나무와 석류나무와 올리브나무가 아직 열매를 맺지 않았다.
이날부터 내가 네게 복 줄 것이다.'"
20. 그달 이십사 일에 (YHUH)יהוה의 말씀이 학가이에게 두 번째로 있었다.
21. "예후다 총독 즈룹바벨에게 말하여라. '내가 하늘과 땅을 진동시키고
22. 왕국들의 보좌를 뒤엎고 이방 왕국들의 세력을 몰살시키고 전차와 그 탄 자들을 뒤엎으리니,
말들과 그 탄 자들이 각각 자기 동료의 칼에 쓰러질 것이다.
23. 그날에 -만군의 (YHUH)יהוה의 말씀- 내가 너를 취할 것이다, 쉬알티엘의 아들 내 종 즈룹바벨라.
-(YHUH)יהוה의 말씀- 내가 너를 그들의 인장으로 삼으리니 이는 내가 너를 택했기 때문이다.

1. In the second year of Darius in the seventh month, on the twenty-first of the month, the word of יְהוָה, came through Haggai [festive] the prophet, saying:
2. Say, pray to Zerubbabel [sown in babylon],
son of Shealtiel [I have asked of God],
the prefect of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised]
and to Yehoshua [Yahveh is Salvation],
son of Y’hotzadak [Yahveh is righteous],
the high priest and to the remnant of the people, saying:
3. Who among you remains:
who saw this house in its former glory?
And how do you see it now?
Is it not as nothing in your eyes?
4. And now, be strong, Zerubbabel, said יְהוָה,
and be strong, Yehoshua [Yahveh is Salvation],
son of Y’hotzadak the high priest,
and be strong, all the people, said יְהוָה, and Act.
For I am with you, said יְהוָה, of armies.
5. Remember this word that I sealed with you:
when you came out of Egypt [black land],
and My spirit was standing in your midst.
Do not fear. !
6. For thus said יְהוָה, of armies:
Soon I will SHAKE the heavens and the earth, and the sea and the dry land.
7. And I will shake the nations,
and the precious things of all the nations shall come,
and I will fill This House with glory said יְהוָה, of armies.
8. Mine is the silver
and mine the gold,
said יְהוָה, of armies.
9. Great shall be the glory of this house, the latter* more than the former,
said יְהוָה, of Armies. And in this place I will bestow peace, said יְהוָה, of
Armies.

10. On the twenty-fourth of the ninth month in the second year of Darius, the word of יְהוָה, came to Haggai the prophet, saying:
11. Thus said יְהוָה of armies:
Inquire, pray, teaching of the priests, saying:
12. If a man carries sacrificial flesh in the skirt of his garment and touches with his skirt bread or stew or wine or oil or any food, is it sanctified?
And the priests answered and said: No.
13. And Haggai said, If someone unclean,
from a corpse touches any of these,
does it become unclean?
And the priests answered and said:
It becomes unclean.
14. And Haggai answered and said:
So is this people,
and so is this nation,
before Me, said יְהוָה,
and so is All the work of their hands,
and what they sacrifice there: it is unclean.
15. And now, put your mind:
pray, to it; from this day forward,
from Before stone was put upon stone in יְהוָה Temple,
16. From when they were coming to a heap of twenty measures and it was ten, coming to the wine vat to draw out fifty measures from the winepress and it was twenty.
17. Smote you with blight,
and with mildew,
and with hail,
all the work of your hands,
and there was none with you for Me,
said יְהוָה.
18. Put your mind, pray, to it:
from this day forward,
from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month,
from the day that the Foundation of יְהוָה Temple was laid.
19. When the seed was still in the granary,
and the vine and the fig tree,
and the pomegranate tree,
and the olive tree had not yet borne fruit,
from this day will I grant blessing.

20. And the word of יְהוָה came again to Haggai,
on the twenty-fourth of the month, saying:
21. Say to Zerubbabel the prefect of Judah, saying:
I am About to shake the heavens and the earth.
22. And I will overturn the thrones of kingdoms,
and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the nations,
and I will overturn chariot and its riders,
and horses and their riders shall go down,
each by the sword of his fellow.
23. On that day said יְהוָה of armies,
I will take you, Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, My servant, said יְהוָה,
and I will set you as a signet — for I have chosen you said יְהוָה of tzavah [of armies].
그리고 당신들이 예후다인들에게 왕의 이름으로 당신들 눈에 좋은 대로 쓰고 왕의 반지로 봉인하시오.
