주검이 있는 곳 거기에는 독수리들이 모일 것이다.

그러므로 만일 그들이 너희에게 말하기를 '보라, 그가 광야에 있다.'라고 해도 나가지 말고 '보라, 그가 골방에 있다.'라고 해도 그 말을 믿지 마라.

참으로 번개가 동쪽에서 나서 서쪽까지 번쩍이듯이 그 인자의 오는 것도 그러할 것이다.

그 고난의 날들 후에 즉시 해가 어두워지고, 달이 그 빛을 주지 않고, 별들이 하늘에서 떨어지며, 하늘의 군대들이 흔들릴 것이다.

그때 그 인자의 표징이 하늘에 나타날 것이고 땅의 모든 민족이 가슴을 치며 그 인자가 큰 능력과 영광으로 하늘의 구름과 함께 오는 것을 볼 것이다.

그 인자가 큰 뿔나팔소리와 함께 그의 천사들을 보내어 하늘 이 끝에서 저 끝까지 사방에서 그의 선택받은 자들을 모을 것이다.

마타이(마태복음)24장 26~31절

Matthew 24:26-31:
If therefore they may say to you, Lo, in the wilderness he is, ye may not go forth,
lo, in the inner chambers, ye may not believe.
For as the lightning doth come forth from the east, and doth appear unto the west, so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man.

(For wherever the corpse (gheviya) may be,
there will be gathered together the eagles (nesharim, vultures, [popularly]).

And immediately after* the tribulation (tzarah)
of those days, the sun shall be darkened,
and the moon shall not give its light,
and the stars (kokhavim) shall fall from the heaven (shomayim) and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.

And then shall appear the sign (ot) of the Son of Man in the heaven, and then shall all the tribes of the earth smite the breast, and they shall see the Son of Man coming upon the clouds (ananim) of the shomayim, with power and great glory.

And Moshiach shall send His messengers with a great (loud) sound of the Shofar (trumpet) and they shall gather together His bechirim from the four winds, from the ends of the shomayim unto the ends thereof. . . . ,
