네 빵을 물 위로 던져 보내어라.

 

 

네 빵을 물 위로 던져 보내어라. 왜냐하면, 많은 날 후에 네가 그것을 발견할 것이기 때문이다. 

몫을 일곱이나 여덟까지도 나누어라. 이는 그 땅에 무슨 악이 일어날지 네가 모르기 때문이다.  

만일 구름이 가득 채워지면 그 땅에 비를 쏟을 것이고 나무가 남쪽으로 쓰러지거나 북쪽으로 쓰러지면 그 나무가 쓰러지는 곳에 그대로 있을 것이다.

바람을 지켜보는 자는 씨 뿌리지 못할 것이고 구름을 바라보는 자는 추수하지 못할 것이다.

바람의 길이 어떠한지 임신한 여인의 배 안에서 뼈들이 어떻게 자라는지 네가 알지 못한다. 그와 같이 그 모든 일을 행하시는 하나님의 일을 네가 알지 못한다.

아침에 네 씨를 뿌리고 저녁에 네 손을 거두지 마라. 이는 어느 것이 기쁜 일일지 또 그 둘 다 좋을지 네가 알지 못하기 때문이다.

빛은 달콤하니 태양을 보는 눈에게 좋다.

사람이 많은 햇수를 살고 그 모든 날을 기뻐한다 해도 어둠의 날들이 많이 있으리라는 것을 기억하니 오는 모든 날이 헛되다.

청년이여, 네 젊음을 기뻐하여라. 네 마음이 네 젊은 날들을 좋게 여겨 네 마음의 길들과 네 눈이 보는 대로 걸어가거라. 그러나 이 모든 일에 대하여 하나님께서 너를 심판대로 가게 하실 줄 알아라.

그러므로 네 마음에서 화를 없애고 네 몸에서 악을 지나가게 하여라. 이는 젊은과 검은 머리가 헛되기 때문이다.

전도자(전도서)11장

Ecclesiastes 11:1-10:

1. Send out your bread:

Upon the face of the waters,

for after many days you shall find it.

2. Give a portion to seven,

and also to eight,

for you do not know:

what evil might be on the earth.

3. If the clouds are filled with rain:

they empty themselves upon the earth.

And if a tree:

falls to the south - or the north,

in the place where the tree falls, there it is.

4. He who watches:

the wind does not sow.

And he who looks:

at the clouds, does not reap.

5. As you do not know:

what is the way of the wind,

or how the bones grow:

in the womb of her who is with child,

so you do not know:

the works of Elohim who makes all.

6. Sow your seed in the morning,

and until evening - do (not let your hand rest):

since you (do not know which prosper),

this or that,

or whether both alike are good.

7. Sweet also is the light,

and good for the eyes to see the sun.

8. But if a man lives many years,

let him rejoice in them all.

But let him remember:

the days of darkness,

for they are many.

All that is coming is futility.

9. Rejoice,

O young man in your youth,

and let your heart gladden

you in the days of your youth.

And walk in the ways of your heart,

and in the sight of your eyes,

But know that for all these:

Elohim brings you into right-ruling.

10. Therefore remove:

vexation From your heart,

and (put Away evil) - from your flesh,

for youth and dawn of life are futility.
