너희는 나를 만들지 말아야 한다. 은 신상들이나 금 신상들을 너희를 위하여 만들지 말아야 한다.

1.하나님께서 이 모든 말씀을 하셨다.

2."나는 종들의 집 미쯔라임 땅에서 너를 나오게 한 네 하나님 (YHUH)יהוה다.

3.너는 다른 신들을 내 얼굴 앞에 두지 말아야 한다.

4.너는 위로 하늘에 있는 것이나 아래로 땅에 있는 것이나 땅 아래 물속에 있는 것이나 어떤 모양의 조각상도 만들지 말아야 한다.

5.너는 그것들에게 경배하지 말아야 하고, 그것들을 섬기지 말아야 한다. 왜냐하면, 나, 네 하나님 (YHUH)יהוה는 질투의 하나님이기 때문이다. 나를 미워하는 자들에게는 아버지들의 죄악을 아들들과 삼사 대까지 벌할 것이다.

6.그러나 나를 사랑하고 내 명령들을 지키는 자들에게는 천 대까지 인애를 베풀 것이다.

7.너는 네 하나님 (YHUH)יהוה의 이름을 헛되이 올리지 말아야 한다.(뜻-허위로 맹세하지 말아야 한다.) 왜냐하면, 그 이름을 헛되이 올리는 자를 나 (YHUH)יהוה가 그냥 두지 않을 것이기 때문이다.

8.안식일을 기억하고 그날을 거룩하게 하여라.

9.육 일 동안 너는 일하되 네 모든 일을 해야 한다.

10.그러나 칠 일째는 네 하나님 (YHUH)יהוה의 안식일이니 너와 네 아들과 네 딸과 네 남종과 네 여종과 네 가축과 네 성문 안에 있는 네 나그네는 어떤 일도 하지 말아야 한다.

11.왜냐하면, 육 일 동안 나 (YHUH)יהוה가 하늘과 땅과 바다와 그것들 안에 있는 모든 것을 만들고 칠 일째에 쉬었기 때문이다. 그러므로 나 (YHUH)יהוה가 안식일을 복 주고 그것을 거룩하게 했다.

12.네 부모를 공경하여라. 네 하나님 (YHUH)יהוה가 네게 주는 그 땅에서의 네 날을 길게 하기 위함이다.

13.너는 살인하지 말아야 한다.

14.너는 간음하지 말아야 한다.

15.너는 도둑질하지 말아야 한다.

16.너는 네 이웃에 대하여 거짓 증언하지 말아야 한다.

17.너는 네 이웃의 집을 탐내지 말아야 한다. 네 이웃의 여자나 그의 남종이나 그의 여종이나 그의 소나 그의 나귀나 네 이웃의 어떤 것도 탐내지 말아야 한다."

18.온 백성이 천둥들과 번개들과 뿔나팔 소리와 연기 자욱한 산을 보고 있었다. 그 백성이 보고 떨며 멀리 서 있었다.

19.그들이 모쉐에게 말하였다. "당신이 우리에게 말씀하십시오. 우리가 듣겠습니다. 하나님께서 우리에게 말씀하시지 않게 하셔서 우리가 죽지 않도록 하십시오."

20.모쉐가 그 백성에게 말하였다. "너희는 두려워하지 마라. 참으로 하나님께서 너희를 시험하시기 위하여 오셨으니 그를 경외함이 너희 얼굴에 있어 너희가 죄짓지 않게 하시기 위함이다."

21.그 백성이 멀리 서 있었고, 모쉐는 하나님께서 계신 그 흑암으로 다가갔다.

22.(YHUH)יהוה께서 모쉐에게 말씀하셨다. "너는 이스라엘 자손에게 이렇게 말하여라. '하늘로부터 내가 너희에게 말한 것을 너희는 보았다.

23.너희는 나를 만들지 말아야 한다. 은 신상들이나 금 신상들을 너희를 위하여 만들지 말아야 한다.

24.흙 제단을 나를 위하여 만들고 그 위에 네 양과 소를 네 올림제물과 화목제물들로 제사 드리라. 내가 내 이름을 기억나게 하는 모든 곳으로 네게 가서 네게 복 줄 것이다.

25.만일 돌 제단을 나를 위하여 만들려면 다듬은 돌로 짓지 말아야 한다. 왜냐하면, 네가 그 돌 위에 네 칼을 휘두르는 것을 그것을 욕되게 하는 것이기 때문이다.

26.그리고 너는 내 제단 위에 계단으로 올라가지 말아서 네 하체가 그 위에서 드러나지  않도록 해야 한다.'"

Shemot (Exodus) 20:
And God spoke all these words, saying: I am YHVH (יהוה), your God,
Who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slaves (bondage).

You shall have no other gods beside Me.
You shall make you no carved likeness,
and no image of what is in the heavens above,
or what is on the earth below,
or what is in the waters beneath the earth.

You shall not bow to them
and you shall not worship them,
for I am YHVH (יהוה) your God,
a jealous Elohim, reckoning the crime of fathers with sons,
with the third generation
and with the fourth, for My foes,
and doing kindness to the thousandth generation
for My friends and for those who keep My commands.

You shall not take the name of YHVH (יהוה) your God in vain,
for YHVH (יהוה) will not acquit whosoever takes His name in vain.

Remember the sabbath day to hallow it.
Six days you shall work
and you shall do your tasks,
but the seventh day is a sabbath to YHVH (יהוה) your God.
You shall do no task,
you and your son and your daughter,
your male slave and your slavegirl
and your beast and your sojourner
who is within your gates.

For six days did YHVH (יהוה) make the heavens,
and the earth, the sea and all that is in it,
and He rested on the seventh day.
Therefore did YHVH (יהוה) bless the sabbath day and hallow it.

Honor your father and your mother,
so that your days may be long on the soil
that YHVH (יהוה) your God has given you.

You shall not murder.
You shall not commit adultery.
You shall not steal.
You shall not bear false witness against your fellow man.
You shall not covet your fellow man’s house.
You shall not covet your fellow man’s wife,
or his male slave,
or his slavegirl,
or his ox,
or his donkey,
or anything* (that your fellow man has).

And all the people were seeing:
the thunder
and the flashes
and the sound of the ram’s horn
and the mountain in smoke,
and the people saw and they drew back
and stood at a distance.

And they said to Moses:
Speak you with us that we may hear,
and let not God speak with us lest we die.

And Moses said to the people: — Fear not.
For in order to (test you) — God has come,
and in order that His fear be upon your (faces),
so that you do not sin.

And the people stood at a distance,
and Moses drew near the thick cloud where God was.

And YHVH (יהוה) said to Moses: Thus shall you say to the Israelites:
You yourselves saw that from the heavens I spoke with you.

You shall NOT make with Me:
«gods of silver and gods of gold»
you shall not make them for yourselves.

An (earthen) altar shall you make for Me,
and you shall sacrifice upon it:
your burnt offerings and your communion sacrifices,
your sheep and your cattle.

In every place where I cause My name (YHVH [יהוה]) to be remembered* (invoked): I shall come to you and bless you.

And should you make Me an altar of stones:
you shall not* build them of hewn stones,
for your sword you would brandish over it and profane it.

And you shall *not* —> go up by steps upon My altar <— that you may not expose your nakedness upon it.
